Fab Camp Liverpool is brought to you by Liverpool John Moores University’s Open Labs and Liverpool School of Art and Design in partnership with Fab Lab Manchester and Razor Lab.

Open Labs works to support small companies in the development of products and services in emerging markets. It does this by identifying emerging opportunities, developing multi-disciplinary partnerships and fostering the development of new products and services.

The Open Labs team will be on hand throughout the weekend to ensure that you have a great weekend and to point you in the right direction.

Liverpool School of Art and Design is situated in the Art and Design Academy, a brand new purpose-built building in the heart of Liverpool’s creative quarter. As well as being home to the School, the Academy is also a knowledge hub for the region’s creative industries.

LSAD hosts its own dedicated digital fabrication facility for the benefit of students, staff and the wider community. This facility and its staff will be central to the workshops held over the weekend.

Fab Lab Manchester is the UK’s first fully kitted fabrication workshop where everyone in the community from small children through to entrepreneurs and businesses are helped to turn their ideas and concepts into reality.

Thanks to Fab Lab’s Eddie Kirby who will be speaking at the event and will be on hand to answer your questions.

Razor Lab has been a laser cutting and engraving service provider since 2006, and is a spin-off from the creative minds of SOPDS – an award-winning Product Design Studio based in London.

Thanks to Razor Labs’ Soner Ozenc for kindly providing the prizes for the weekend’s competition.
